A Christmas Carol ('24)
ADDITIONAL NOTES
In an effort to keep this show evergreen, we as a company plan to reinvent and build characters as new actors create their own interpretations of each role.
For Carol '24, I singlehandedly re-coordinated the entire show for a slew of new actors. This included a mix of mixing and matching stock items as well as building new character designs from the ground up.
Major fresh builds and designs include a new canary yellow and plum gown for a new ensemble and swing track, a new coat for Fred's wife - our representative of Christmas kindness, and the Mrs. Cratchit track - including the amazing Mrs. Fezziwig. There were many more!
In addition to designing and coordinating costumes, I also styled all the wigs in the show. Most notable of the 13 wigs was a fosshape-based fantasy wig for Christmas Past. Hours of dying, teasing, shaping, and more lead to an effective look and the ability to slip such a sculpture on in seconds for a quick change.
Finally, I was Wardrobe Supervisor for this production. My duties included running the show, guiding a team of five, child wrangling, and much, much more. It's safe to say I eat-sleep-breathe this show for months at a time!
